About our ECD Centre

Hotty Totty Ecd centre is a privately owned kindergarten. Established in 2013 in Hilton Bloemfontein, we are registered with the department of Social Development in the Free State.

Hotty Totty Ecd Centre children have more play time at the core of our education strategy. With 15 children per teacher, the center also boasts 4 general assistants, as and when needed by teachers.

Children are placed in relevant age groups assisting the growth in each child’s education. Our curriculum is prepared for us by Edu-Hope Academy owner Mrs: Phyllisity Diederiks.

Training is conducted every 6 months and visitation from her keep work standards high. All staff has special training from time to time and workshops conducted are up to date with new policies and procedures.

In class/outside development

Each child has a development book where parents can also see where their children are at, developmentally speaking. This book also gives the parent a chance to talk directly to the teacher and be of assistance at home. We also develop self esteem where children have a chance to tell stories in class.

Planned outside activities makes for excellent report on gross, fine motor, physical and mental development as well as social skills

Discipline

Physical punishment, verbal & emotional abuse is not exercised in our Centre. One of the areas we focus on is Social Competence, we teach children to live in harmony with each other and staff. Any behavior problems are discussed with parents. If bad behavior continues, the child will be asked to be removed.

“Time out” is used at all times
